The Minister of National Defense of Poland Anthony Matserevich said that the threat from Russia to the eastern flank of NATO has become very high, in particular because of the Russian-Belarusian exercises "West-2017".

"The activity of the air forces of the Russian Federation near the eastern flank of NATO is very high. The tension is constant, "- said Matserevich.

According to him, there is a high probability that after the training exercises Moscow will leave part of its troops on the territory of Belarus.

"There are fears, and this is confirmed by many international experts, about the possibility of leaving part of the armed forces of the Russian Federation who will take part in the West-2017 exercise in the territory of Belarus," summarized Matserevich.

Recall that the exercise "West-2017" will be held in September at the training grounds of Russia and Belarus.
