Negotiations in the "Norman" format will be harder for Russia.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with the "Observer" by the French political scientist Olivier Vedrin.

"One can consider, as an example, the meeting between French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Macron behaved very confidently. He took the position of a leader, and this brought Putin out of balance. I think the same will be observed in the future. The Norman process will be harder for Moscow, "said Vedrin.

According to him, Makron will not offer new ideas in the framework of the "Norman" format, but, perhaps, he will offer new ways of implementing them.

"I think that Macron will not give up ideas, the lines of his predecessor Francois Hollande, but, perhaps, new, more stringent ways of putting them into practice will be applied," the political scientist summed up..

As reported by the "Observer", Macron urges to meet as soon as possible in the "Norman" format.
