It remained incomprehensible both to lawyers and to us, journalists who watched this case. Sharin was accused of deliberately laying out extremist and Russophobic literature of Ukrainian authors on the shelves of the library, while neither time, nor place, nor method of committing a crime were ever named.

The accusation of embezzlement, absolutely, according to Sharina, offensive to her, was added a few months later, apparently for intimidation, and it turned out that the director of the Ukrainian library in Moscow was to blame for spending public money on paying lawyers who defended the interests Library!.

In the opinion of the prosecution, and now of the court, Sharina "is one of the parts of a complex mechanism whose work is aimed at defaming and discrediting Russian culture in Ukraine" (from the accusatory speech of prosecutor Lyudmila Balandina).

How this mechanism worked, what exactly Sharin did in it - was a nut, hinge or motor - nobody in the court argued and did not intend to prove. Much more important for the trial were the testimony of some necessary witnesses and an 85-year-old expert from the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Mr. Tarasov, who began his work in this field as far back as the 1950s. Tarasov was able to make an examination of books written in Ukrainian, not knowing the Ukrainian language!.

Both the prosecutor and the judge immediately and unconditionally believed all the words and testimony of Dmitry Zakharov, a deputy of the Yakimanka Municipal Assembly, believing that there was no reason for Sharina to talk with Zakharov. It is a pity that they did not esteem the curious page of the deputy in the social network "VKontakte", where you can find such, for example, lines:.

"The Ukrainian language, artificially created, is associated with fascism and genocide, and therefore [...] should be optimized and rebranded".

(In parentheses, I note that it is extremely difficult to quote Zakharov in a decent publication, since he speaks mostly as a mat). Immediately after the first search in the library, October 28, 2015, Zakharov informs the press: "As a deputy, I received a signal that in this The library has extremist literature. I checked this information through my channels. It was confirmed, and I appealed to the law enforcement agencies of ".

In an incredible combination of circumstances, Zakharov accidentally strolls around the library building in the early morning on the day of the search, and he is invited to understand! Ibid, at the library, it turns out on this day and at the same time and a certain Mr. Zhuravlev, who before wrote to the government of Moscow about the existence in the library of extremist literature, and he is also invited to the witnesses.

These facts do not cause surprise either to the prosecutor or the judge. But neither one nor the other does not believe a single word from the staff of the library. The court and lawyers do not believe: none of the defense's arguments was taken into account.

The court believes only its own, here, for example, investigator Lapaev, who, after completing the questioning by Sharina after a search in 23. 58, managed to create an investigation group for the remaining two minutes, then for the same two minutes remaining the criminal case was seized by the head of the investigative body in Tagansky district, transferred to the Main Investigation Department where instructions were given on the case, and transferred back to Taganka where again An investigation team was established.

To me, these facts are more than enough to doubt the honesty and the investigation, and the prosecutor's office and the courts, the white threads of their uncomplicated sewing are coming from everywhere, but if you are not enough, I will add something that I do not cease to marvel: during interrogations in court it turns out, That most of the books were planted, probably during a search, the books do not have any characteristic library marks, stamps and pockets. But the most incredible lies ahead: it turns out that one of the books was already thrown in a box with evidence, it does not match either the form, the size or the name of the book of the same author seized during the search, and it was this book that the judge tried to quietly put aside, And only exclamations of the public eye did not allow her to do this!.

Then we realized why: only this book, thrown into evidence, was the only one of the whole set recognized by the extremist court!.

And they did it young and beautiful women, who were not born under Stalin at all, did not know the repressions, they did not have fear, but for some reason they believe that lying and deceiving for some mythical purposes - it is necessary, necessary and even useful.

There were so many people in the sentence that there was nothing to breathe, the judge read the verdict for two and a half hours - and it was two and a half hours of indistinct and utterly shameless mumbling to himself, as if such simple means of sound reinforcement as a microphone to our judges and courts are unknown. Journalists in the hall - who wrote on Facebook, who just sat quietly on the floor and nailed, neither the judge nor the bailiffs paid any attention to them, and only separate phrases and sounds of the indictment continued to reach us.

Disrespect for and neglect of justice was complete and final.
