The US does not intend to mitigate sanctions against Russia.
This was stated by the US representative to the UN Nikki Haley, reports DW.
"There will be no reduction of pressure on Russia until it assumes responsibility for the implementation of its part of the Minsk accords," the diplomat replied, commenting on the intentions of US President Donald Trump to lift sanctions from the Russian Federation in the first weeks of the government.
Also, Haley expressed confidence that Russia intervened in the US elections.
"We are absolutely sure that Russia has interfered in the elections," the diplomat stressed..
According to her, the Congress is investigating this case and every effort should be made to present the facts related to it in the near future.
As reported by the "Observer", it became known earlier that Trump wanted to lift the sanctions from Russia immediately after taking office.
