Pope Francis of France promulgated a video, in which he called on the leaders of states to end enrichment through the arms trade.
The corresponding video is posted on the official channel of the Vatican in Youtube.
The clip represents the so-called prayer intentions of the pontiff - actual topics for individual prayers of believers. Since January 2016, such intentions have been supplied with a video that illustrates them.
Every month, the head of the Catholic Church suggests believers to pray for a solution to the problem, which he considers the most serious. In June, Pope Francis drew attention to "death dealers".
The video begins with the image of two statesmen signing a peace treaty.
At the same time, the Pope's words sound: "This is an absurd contradiction: to talk about peace, to negotiate peace and at the same time to promote or permit the trade in arms".
At this moment, the frame is replaced, and on the hands, shaking each other as a sign of concluding a peace agreement, blood begins to flow.
"Does this or that war solve any problems?
Or is it a commercial war for the sake of arms trade, to make rich the merchants of death?" - asks the pontiff.
"Let's put an end to this situation. Let us together pray that the leaders of states can firmly commit themselves to stop the arms trade, which leads to innumerable innocent victims, "the head of the Vatican.
