Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet disclosed the decision on whether he will participate in the presidential elections scheduled for March 2018.

"As for the candidates, it's still too early to talk about it," the Russian leader said in an interview with the French newspaper Le Figaro.

At the same time, he promised to ensure the conduct of election campaigns in 2018 in accordance with the laws.

Putin added that all Russian citizens who have the right to participate in elections in accordance with the law can and will participate.

As reported by the "Observer", a Russian journalist and TV presenter Yevgeny Kiselyov suggested that Putin may not go to the polls at all.
