The decision to ban the "St. George" ribbon in Ukraine, which became a symbol of Russian aggression in the Crimea and the Donbass, will postpone the implementation of the Minsk accords.

This was stated by the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova.

"This (the ban on the distribution and production of St. George's ribbon in Ukraine. - Red. ) An additional element of inciting hatred and enmity, and the factor of impossibility of reuniting people in a number of regions. This will give even more reasons to postpone the Minsk agreements for a longer time, "Zakharova said..

According to her, this decision will not affect Russia.

"You understand perfectly well that this will not affect in any way what is happening with Russia, but it will have a colossal negative impact on internal processes in Ukraine itself," she added..

Recall, the Verkhovna Rada supported the bill number 2987, which provides for a ban on the production and propaganda of St. George (Guards) tape in Ukraine. The corresponding draft law as a whole was supported by 238 people's deputies.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier Poroshenko told how he would deal with the "St. George ribbons".
