The corresponding study is published in the journal mBio, briefly reported by the American Society for Microbiology. Specialists found that capsaicin, contained in chili pepper, after falling into the human digestive system, reduces the number and activity of bacteria that produce lipopolysaccharide. At the same time, it stimulates the activity of microflora useful for the stomach and intestines.

Specialists note that the data obtained by them confirm the hypothesis that the use of chili peppers is effective in combating obesity, because the substances contained in it have a beneficial effect on the microflora of the digestive system. Earlier, scientists from the University of McMaster (Canada) proposed an express diet, with which you can simultaneously lose weight and gain muscle mass. This is due to the use of foods high in protein. At the same time, the diet is low in calories.
