Enough to criticize Ukraine!

Concerning the unfolding discussion around the statements, Vladimir Milov and Ksenia Sobchak.

Mentorsky tone in Milov's post I did not feel, but I understand the sharp reaction of Ukrainians. And you understand: in Russia, many representatives of the liberal trend, openly supported Ukraine, were caught between two fires. At the time of the beginning of the aggression, side with Ukraine was very difficult and dangerous, some, like your humble servant, were seriously paid for it. Of course, the Russians who went for this very much are waiting for Ukraine to have concrete results and successes in order to have an elementary opportunity to say: "I supported, and not in vain!". When these results, from their point of view, everything is not and are not, grievances and claims begin.

Claims of Russian liberals, including Milov, are wrong, because Ukraine is a fundamentally different country. Even if you supported Ukraine, it does not owe you anything, although some Russian liberals do not think so. For the sake of justice, Ukrainians say the same about the Russians: they say, what are you doing to us with advice, with Putin first understand. They say: why can not you cope with your corrupt officials? The situation is mirrored, mutual accusations and claims are stupid. Quarrel in this situation is absolutely not productive.

At conferences and in private conversations, I try to convey to the Russians:

even if you say the right, fair things about Ukraine, they are perceived differently precisely because you are representatives of the aggressor country. You should not publicly criticize Ukraine, should not give it advice, unless you are directly asked about it by the Ukrainians themselves. Even if you personally both against the war and Putin.
