Residents of Sevastopol on May 20 complained of numerous violations during the "citywide vote" for the candidate for the post of governor from the opposition. About this on Sunday, May 21, SevastopolMedia reports. According to the press service, in total over 30 "carousels" were seen: specially trained people moved on cars from the tent to the tent and cast their votes for certain candidates. Eyewitnesses say that because of this, between the violators and the organizers of the poll, a conflict broke out, because of which the voting in some places was suspended for a long time. Incident, in particular, took place in the tents exposed from the regional branch of the Communist Party. It is noted that participants in the "carousels" refuse to contact the press. Some, however, admitted that "their delivery was organized by representatives of one of the voting participants". The message on the website of the government indicates that the initiative to hold "primaries of the opposition" was made by the representative of the regional branch of "Fair Russia" Eugene Dubovik. At the same time, he rejects the possibility of juggling survey results. A different opinion is held by the first secretary of the Sevastopol city committee of the Communist Party Vasily Parkhomenko. "This (juggling and" carousels "- prim. "Letno. Py ") could be, but we do not believe that in any serious way it can affect these results," he explained his position. - It caused confusion among some of our comrades standing at the tent, that a group of people for 5-10 people came who asked for ballots. We can not check who they are from and what they are ". In turn, the chairman of the Sevastopol regional branch of the political party "Patriots of Russia" Ivan Ermakov confirmed that he knows about violations of the rules of the poll, but he does not know who organized them. The results of the poll conducted in Sevastopol on nominating a candidate from a number of opposition parties for the election of the governor are scheduled to be announced on May 22.
Earlier, on May 16, the results of VTsIOM's research were published, according to which about 65 percent of Sevastopol residents are linked by hopes for improving their lives with acting governor Dmitri Ovsyannikov. 57 percent of respondents said they would vote for him if the city's elections were held next Sunday. Elections will be held in September 2017.
