NASA showed a full-scale model of a new rover. As reported by the Daily Mail, the rover resembles a batmobile - a hybrid of Lamborghini and a tank from Christopher Nolan's trilogy. A six-wheeled rover can carry up to six astronauts, is powered by batteries and is a portable laboratory. The presented model will never be on Mars. It is designed to test similar rovers on Earth and implement NASA's popular scientific programs in the US. The rover, made of carbon fiber and aluminum, is 8.5 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 3.4 meters high. Mass rover is estimated at 2.25 tons. The rover is capable of speeds up to 110 kilometers per hour.

The Martian "Batmobile" was created by the company Parker Brothers Concepts on the initiative of NASA. The model was first shown at an exhibition held last week at the John F. Kennedy Space Center (Florida, USA). Currently, on the surface of the Red Planet there are American rovers Opportunity (since 2004) and Curiosity (from 2012). The Opportunity rover is the record holder for the duration of work, and the Curiosity is the heaviest planet-carrier (its mass is 900 kilograms).
