Astronauts of the European Space Agency together with the staff of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States found a couple of unusual galaxies with the help of the Hubble Space Telescope. This is reported on the NASA website. Scientists called the object in the constellation Rabbit IRAS 06076-2139. However, it turned out that it consists of two intersecting galaxies. They rush one by one at a speed of about 2 million kilometers per hour. Experts believe that this is too fast for them to merge and form a single star cluster. At the same time, it is noted that the objects are separated 20,000 light years - a relatively short distance in space, therefore, due to the force of attraction, their structure will change. NASA recalls that the interaction of galaxies can take various forms, including cannibalism or collision. Astronomers add that our Milky Way Galaxy, 4.5 billion years in the future, must unite with the Andromeda Galaxy. In March, NASA astronomers discovered a massive black hole that was thrown out of the center of the parent galaxy. Earlier in the same month, the management published a snapshot of the star cluster Westerlund 1, consisting of hyper-giants.
