British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said that Russia can try to influence the results of early parliamentary elections in the United Kingdom.
The official did this in an interview with The Telegraph.
"I think this is a real opportunity," he said, noting that Putin will certainly rejoice at the victory of the Labor Party led by its leader Jeremy Corbin.
Johnson also expressed confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally is interested in weakening London and ending the friendship of Great Britain and US As reported by "Observer", in April, British Prime Minister Teresa May proposed holding early parliamentary elections. Later this initiative was approved by the House of Commons and the parliament would be dissolved on May 3.
