Russia has transferred to Syria a long-range radar detection and control (DRLOiU) A-50 aircraft, which will allow it to control the country's airspace.

This is written by the observer of the National Interest magazine Tom Cooper.

The long-range radar detection aircraft A-50 is based on IL-76.

It is equipped with a radio complex "Shmel" and can detect threats at a distance of 650 km and ground in 300 km. It is also possible to combine two modes.

According to the journalist, Russia threw the A-50 because of the recent attack by the United States on the military airfield of government troops in Syria.

It is specified that the new modification of the car received a completely digital radar control system and a luxury cabin, which is adapted for long-term patrolling.

Let's note, earlier in the Network there were pictures of the Russian airplane А-50 at the airbase in the Syrian province of Latakia.

Let us recall that earlier Putin made a resonant statement on his aviation in Syria.

As reported by the "Observer", the Pentagon has spotted new Putin troops in Syria.
