Russia in negotiations with the US seeks to block any opportunities to solve the problem of Ukraine, and while the Kremlin succeeds.

This opinion was expressed by the Russian opposition politician Konstantin Borovoi in an article on the website "Apostrophe".

The politician commented on the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Pavel Klimkin.

"For Russia to agree on Ukraine is to ensure that the US does not interfere in the zone of economic, political interests of the Russian Federation. So it is formulated by Lavrov, Putin. In fact, Lavrov did this. He very proudly stated that the situation in Ukraine was not considered at these meetings (with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and US President Donald Trump - Ed.. ) ", He noted.

According to Borovoy, Russia's task is to block as much as possible any attempts to solve the problem of Ukraine.

"For now, I must admit, she succeeds. In a sense, this is also due to the efforts of Ukraine itself, which took responsibility for solving this problem from itself. This is now the area of ??responsibility of Europeans, "- said the Russian politician.

As Borovoy notes, the Donbass for Americans is not a strategic region, but a headache, so if some stabilization is possible, then thanks to the efforts of European leaders and Ukraine itself.

As reported by the "Observer", on May 10, Trump held two important meetings - with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

Later, the US president published a collage of photos from two meetings and added a hashtag #LetsMakePeace ("Let's create the world").
