US President Donald Trump claims that he never tried to exert pressure on former FBI director James Komi because of his investigation of the links between the presidential team and Russia.
In an interview with NBC on Thursday, May 11, Trump said that he was interested in an objective investigation of the Kremlin's interference in the American elections.
"I want to find out if there was any problem related to Russia during the elections. If Russia has done something, I want to know it, "the US president stressed..
Trump also negatively answered the journalist's question whether he tried to dismiss the Komi by sending a signal to the future director of the FBI about the undesirability of investigating the ties between the team of the American president and the Russian Federation.
