The Ministers of Agriculture of the EU countries on May 11 approved the granting of a visa-free regime for Ukraine. The next stage in obtaining visa liberalization by Ukraine will be the signing of a corresponding decision by the head of the European Parliament and the head of the country-chairman in the EU.

Earlier it was reported that the Council of Ambassadors of the European Union approved a decision on granting Ukraine a visa-free regime.

Earlier it was reported that the EU Council would finally approve the visa liberalization of the European Union with Ukraine at the meeting on May 11. Thus, the visa-free regime will come into force in June 2017.

Recall that on March 9 the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Internal Affairs voted for the draft resolution on the introduction of Ukraine into the list of countries that are granted a visa-free regime. 39 members of the committee voted for the decision, four voted against.

Earlier, the EU Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission conducted a successful tri-log concerning the provision of a visa-free regime for Ukraine, having reached a preliminary agreement on visa liberalization for Ukrainians.
