Macron officially becomes president of France on May 14

The inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of France Emmanuel Macron will be held on May 14, as it is on this day at midnight that the term of office of his predecessor Francois Hollande expires.

According to RFI, the protocol requires that Makron come to the Elysee Palace, meet with Hollande and lead him to the threshold. Then he must visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and then the Paris City Hall.

Although Hollande, when he became president in 2012, after a meeting with his predecessor, Nicolas Sarkozy immediately went on a visit to Germany.

The MEP and the representative of the Democratic Movement party, Silvi Gular, also told reporters that Makron will make his first visit to the role of French President in Germany.

Although it is possible that he will first visit the French military, who serve "abroad", as Makron said during the election campaign.

Meanwhile, France called the result of the final count of votes in the presidential elections. According to them, the candidature of Macron was supported by twice as many voters as the candidate Marin Le Pen.
