In one of de-escalation zones in Syria, fighting resumed.

This is reported by Deutsche Welle with reference to the Syrian Observatory on Human Rights.

New fighting erupted between the Syrian army and the rebels. Syrian aviation struck at the rebel-controlled city of Az-Zalakiyat and the rebel bases in the neighboring province of Ham. Shortly after midnight on Saturday, an outbreak of hostilities was reported by a representative of the rebel formations. The Syrian army has not yet commented on these reports.

Recall that in accordance with the agreement that Russia, Iran and Turkey concluded in Astana on May 4, four zones of de-escalation are being created in Syria.

The largest of them is located in the north of Syria, it includes the province of Idlib, part of Latakia, Aleppo and Hama.

The zones of de-escalation are also formed in the province of Homs, in East Gut and in the south of Syria at the border with Jordan. Along the boundaries of de-escalation zones, security bands will be created, including checkpoints and observation posts to be operated by Russia, Turkey and Iran.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the conditions for ending the war in Syria.
