The head of German intelligence, Hans-Georg Maasen, warned the government of the Russian Federation against the decision to influence the elections in Germany with the help of hacker attacks.

It is reported by Euobserver.

Maasen stressed that his department has evidence of a massive kidnapping of information by officers of the Main Intelligence Agency of Russia during the hacker attack on the Bundestag in 2015.

"We recognize that this campaign was managed by Russia. They try to generate information that can be used for misinformation. We expect further attacks and closely monitor the threats, "- concluded the head of German intelligence.

As reported by the "Observer", on the eve of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russia's President Vladimir Putin issued a tough ultimatum for Ukraine.
