Russian senator Alexei Pushkov believes that PACE came under the influence of the Ukrainian delegation.

So he commented on his Twitter'e decision of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to prohibit the chairman of the organization Pedro Agramuntu make statements and make visits on behalf of the organization.

"PACE is mired in accusations and scandals under the influence of Ukraine and its allies. The rule of law is forgotten. Soon PACE will turn into the second Rada, "wrote Pushkov.

According to him, the Russian delegation had previously warned the leadership that the organization could be "hostage to the delegation of Ukraine and its fans".

As reported by the "Observer", President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt stepped back from fulfilling the duties of conducting the session after the scandal because of his visit to Syria together with the deputies of the Russian State Duma. Agramunt himself stated that he does not consider that he should resign. Later a member of the Ukrainian delegation Borislav Bereza said that on Friday, April 28, Agramunt will step down.
