US Permanent Representative to the UN Security Council, Nikki Haley, pointed to the impossibility of solving the Syrian problem without increasing pressure on the Kremlin, Washington Examiner reports..

"Many of you spoke about the need to increase pressure on the Syrian regime. But actually it is not. We must exert pressure on Russia, because it continues to cover the Syrian regime. Cover the leader who uses chemical weapons against his own people. Russia constantly vetoes. Assad, knows that he will be covered, and continues to commit crimes, "the diplomat said during a meeting of the UN Security Council on Thursday, April 7.

Haley also reported the facts of the plundering of Assad's troops and loyal Shiite humanitarian aid groups, which are then sold on the black market.

"They assign themselves pediatric kits of antibiotics, needles and gauze. They take dialysis equipment, hygiene products, baby food ... This is a big business in Syria, which is another reason why cities are still under siege, "the US representative said..

In response to these accusations, the representative of Russia said that Moscow, Tehran and Ankara are "doing a great job" to resolve the situation in Syria.

As reported, at a meeting of the UN Security Council on April 12, Russia once again vetoed the draft resolution to investigate the chemical attack in Syria.

Recall, on April 7, from US military ships, 59 missiles were fired at the airbase of Syrian government troops in Homs province. Rocket strike is a response to a chemical attack in the Syrian province of Idlib.

World leaders have supported the actions of the United States, they were condemned only by Russia, Iran and North Korea.

Before that, France initiated an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with the use of chemical weapons in Syria, but the draft resolution was again blocked by Russia.
