Probable resignation of President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt will remove the issue of the return of the Russian delegation for at least six months.

Such an opinion in the commentary to the "Observer" was expressed by the expert-internationalist Maxim Yali.

"This is more the image victory of Ukraine. A certain positive is, but it should not be exaggerated. Nevertheless, Agramunt was the main lobbyist for the return of the Russian delegation to PACE. Therefore, his dismissal automatically means that this issue will be closed for at least the next six months, "Yali said..

According to him, Agramunt's successor will not be able to so obviously flirt with Moscow because of the scandal. "Now the return of the Russian delegation is too toxic a question," summed up the international.

As reported by the "Observer", former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt was suspended from performing duties of conducting the session after the scandal because of his visit to Syria together with the deputies of the Russian State Duma.
