Ukrainian sociologist Yevgeny Kopatko accepted the citizenship of the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Russian official Internet portal of legal information.
"Adopt the citizenship of the Russian Federation Kopatko Eugenia, who was born on July 27, 1963 in Ukraine," reads the text.
Putin signed a decree on April 26.
Let us note, Kopatko is a Ukrainian sociologist, founder of the research company Research and Branding Group. According to the Russian First Channel, Kopatko escaped from Ukraine to Russia after the murder of journalist Olesya Buzina.
