The CDU / CSU party, chaired by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, outstripped its main competitor, the SPD, by 5%. This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the Allensbach Institute.

As reported by Rzeczpospolita referring to the German edition of Sueddeutsche Zeitung, the Merkel party is now ready to support in the parliamentary elections 36% of voters. A month ago, this figure was less by 2%. Meanwhile, the Social Democrats lost the same two percent. Now the party of Martin Schultz is ready to support 31% of Germans.

Thus, the results of the poll of the Allensbach Institute may indicate that the sudden rise in popularity of the SPD after the appointment of Martin Schulz as the party leader and the candidate for the post of German Chancellor was a temporary phenomenon. Similar figures showed other studies that were conducted in Germany 5 months before the election.

For example, Emnid Company came to the conclusion that 36% of voters are ready to vote for the CDU / CSU, and for SPD - 31%. In the survey of the Forsa Institute, the data is almost the same, although the Social Democrats received 1% less.

In the study of Allensbach in third place were the "Left" and "Greens", for which they are ready to vote for 9% of voters. Radicals from the "Alternatives for Germany" so far can only rely on 7%.

Earlier it was reported that the rating of the new leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Martin Schulz equaled the rating of the current chancellor of the country - Angela Merkel. Both candidates for the post of head of government had 41% support.

Recently, Merkel named the conditions for her decision to retire. According to her, resignation is possible if the politician feels that he will cease to make a decision in accordance with his convictions.
