The head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt said that he will return to the question of changing his status during the Friday session. In the meantime, the deputies continue to demand that Agramunt resign, according to Irina Gerashchenko, a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the PACE, in her Facebook.

Representatives of the Socialist and Conservative fractions ask Agramunt about why he did not inform about the invitation to Syria in advance and did not give information after his train, in which he denied the information of Russian media, which he considers manipulative. In addition, Agramunt was asked why he did not adhere to the recommendations of the Spanish Foreign Ministry, which recommended him not to visit Syria, both on security issues and politically.

Аграмунт recognizes the fault in bad informing of the PASS about the plans and speaks about possible change of the status on Friday.

Earlier it was reported that the deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe formally called the head of the PACE Pedro Agramunt to resign for his trip to Syria with the deputies of the Russian State Duma. Appeals to leave Agramunt from the PACE administration were expressed by the heads of the Socialist and the EPP factions.

Earlier, the delegations of Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland and Denmark in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe condemned the visit of PACE President Pedro Agramunt to Syria together with the Russian delegation.

Delegations have written that they are distancing themselves from the visit of the head of PACE.

We remind that a delegation from the Czech Republic, Belgium, Serbia, Italy and Russia arrived in Syria, led by the head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Pedro Agramunt. Parliamentary delegation announced its desire to resolve the crisis in Syria.

Agramunt openly headed for Russia's return to PACE. With the support of the leaders of the political groups of the Assembly, he made visits to Russia.
