The US State Department has officially appointed Fox News anchor Heather Nauert as head of his press service in place of Mark Toner.
This is reported on the agency's website.
"The State Department is pleased to welcome Heather Nauert as the new press secretary of the US State Department," the statement said..
The State Department added that the new speaker of the diplomatic department has 15 years of experience in the media as a presenter and correspondent.
It should be noted that in recent months the position of the official representative of the US foreign policy department has remained vacant, and the acting head of the press service was Mark Toner.
Naouert is 47 years old, she previously worked as a leading television show Fox & Friends.
Trump previously repeatedly called the morning transfer of Nauert's favorite. The TV presenter also spoke in support of the US president.
As reported by the "Observer", in March, the American media reported that Trump found a place in the State Department for a blonde beauty, but officials did not comment on the information.
