The head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt was acquitted before the PACE Bureau about his trip to Syria, accompanied by deputies of the Russian State Duma. Agramunt said that his visit was of a private nature, but admitted that he had to inform the PACE about his visit in advance, according to "European Pravda".
The PACE head also complained that his visit was misinterpreted due to his distorted coverage in some Russian media. On the financing of his trip, Agramunt said that it was provided by the Syrian side. At the same time, there is a video in which the PACE head leaves the plane of the Russian Defense Ministry.
