Sletching operation: Canadian sailors intercepted a record deal of cocaine

The crew of the Saskatoon patrol ship of the Canadian Navy seized over a ton of cocaine during the international operation to combat drug trafficking "Caribbi".

This was reported in the Ministry of National Defense, reports "Today".

It is noted that as a result of several operations conducted on April 6, 13 and 14 off the coasts of Central and South America, smugglers managed to remove 1,124 tons of cocaine.



The international operation to combat drug trafficking "Caribbi" has been held since 2006. It, in particular, involves the ships and planes of Canada, the USA, France, Great Britain, Spain and the Netherlands. It implies active patrolling of the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Pacific coasts of Latin America, including countries such as Ecuador and Colombia.
