The video shows that there were two criminals, and at least one of them shoots a minibus in which there were policemen.

The French newspaper Le Parisien wrote that the shooter's name is Karim S.

He was born in France and lived in Chells, a suburban town near Paris. He was imprisoned for 20 years after trying to kill policemen in 2001. It was released in 2016. According to media reports, a 39-year-old man who used the pseudonym "Abu Yusuf" threatened to kill the police with the help of instant messaging Telegram.

Recall, in the evening of April 20, an unknown person opened fire on the police on the Champs Elysees in Paris. When the police car stopped at a red traffic light, an armed man came out of the next car and opened fire on the policemen. One officer was killed on the spot, two more were injured during a firefight with the attacker.

The armed criminal was liquidated. The police identified the identity of the attacker and investigated the incident as a terrorist act.

According to official data, the attacker killed one and wounded two police officers.

Their condition is difficult, said the official representative of the Ministry of the Interior Pierre-Henri Brande at a briefing on Friday night.

He specified that the shooter was alone, in other parts of the city such incidents were not fixed. The crime scene is cordoned off, in Paris there is a police operation.
