Heads of 27 states and governments of the European Union at the anniversary summit of the EU, signed the Rome Declaration without the United Kingdom.

In the Rome Declaration, the leaders of the 27 member states and EU institutions give an assessment of the achievements of the union over the past 60 years, and also pledge to work for a safe and secure Europe, a prosperous and reliable Europe, a social Europe and a stronger Europe on the world stage.

The ceremony took place in the hall of Horatiev and Kuriatziev, where exactly 60 years ago in 1957 the Treaty of Rome was signed.

Recall, on February 2, British deputies in the second reading approved the bill on the withdrawal of the Kingdom of the European Union. The document was voted by 494 parliamentarians. It is expected that the law can be passed by the House of Lords in March.
