The report Airwars Monitoring Group (Monitoring Group of air warfare, AMG) "thoughtless disregard for the lives of civilians" reported that the end of 2015 as a result of actions of the Russian aviation died from 1098 to 1450 civilians, more than 1,700 people were injured.

It is noted that these figures relate to the first three months of the Russian operation in Syria - from September 30 to December 31, 2015.

AMG claims that collect and analyze a number of Syrian monitoring and human rights organizations, including the Syrian Network for Human Rights (Syrian Network for Human Rights, SNHR), Syria Monitoring Centre for Human Rights (Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, SOHR), Centre documentation of violence (Violations Documentations Center, VDC) and other. Total all of these organizations have declared 330 incidents of shelling of peaceful Syrian air force of the Russian Federation, which killed from 1826 to 2426 people.

The AMG say to verify the information they have received the official data of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, media reports and data from social networks.

As a result, experts have counted 192 confirmed cases of civilian deaths as a result of actions of the Russian aircraft from 330 reported by human rights activists. The reduced number of fatalities AMG estimate is based on the number of verified incidents.

Analysts AMG emphasize that Russia in the first months of operation actively shelled civilian infrastructure in Syria, including the issuance of food items, water treatment plants. According to them, these attacks led to mass deaths of civilians (when the death toll was 20 people or more) 16 times.
