The OSCE will close the Office of the Project Coordinator in Ukraine due to the veto of the Russian Federation, which did not agree to extend its mandate.

The Polish OSCE Chairmanship will make every effort to preserve the invaluable experience and knowledge gained by the Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine and ensure that the OSCE remains present and cooperates with Ukraine.
"
It is noted that all activities of the Office of the Project Coordinator in Ukraine are terminated from July 1.
Since its deployment to Ukraine in 1999, the Office has supported the country in its reform efforts, doing important work in many areas, including reform, combating human trafficking and supporting the country in its humanitarian demining efforts to environmental protection and media freedom..
