Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke about the course of negotiations with EU foreign ministers at a meeting on Monday on granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership.

The Minister noted this during a conversation with journalists in Brussels, reports "

"

He added that Ukraine is not talking about immediate membership in the bloc, but believes that there are no rational arguments against granting it candidate status..

Kuleba noted that he did not receive a promise from the ministers to give Ukraine candidate status at the end of June at the summit of EU leaders, but, according to him, not a single member state has openly opposed this..

"

On June 8 or 15, the European Commission will present its opinion on the application of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia for obtaining the status of a candidate for accession to the European Union.

The summit of EU leaders, where they will discuss the further European integration of Ukraine, will be held on June 25-26.
