The satellite recorded a mass grave in the Russian-occupied village of Mangush, which is located less than 20 kilometers from Mariupol. Radio Liberty journalists receive satellite imagery showing probable mass grave site.

Mass grave - a trench more than 300 meters long. According to the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, in Mangush, the Russian invaders staged a mass burial of the dead Mariupol residents.

According to satellite images, the dug trench appeared approximately at the end of March.. She was not yet in the picture from March 23. The following image of the area, dated March 29, already shows a trench more than 300 meters long and the equipment that dug it..

On a more recent satellite image from April 9, you can see that the trench has already been partially covered with earth and expanded.

Adviser to the mayor, Petr Andryushchenko, told reporters that the bodies of dead people from the streets of Mariupol are first taken by the Russian military to different industrial zones of the city, where there are large refrigerators, and then they are put in bags and taken to mass graves.

" It's already warm - and you understand that with the corpses... They should have started (transportation) from the end of March.

How many and how to count them - we do not know. There should be thousands there... But, finally, we found out where at least some of the dead from Mariupol are being taken,"

The length of the trench in Mangush is 300 meters. For comparison, the length of the mass grave near the church in Bucha is 14 meters.. The bodies of 70 people were found there..

According to Andryushchenko, now only one mass grave site is known in Mangush, but there may be more..
