President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held an urgent telephone conversation with President of the European Council Charles Michel.

This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Zelensky informed the interlocutor about the current security situation around our state, stressing that now Ukraine does not see evidence of the withdrawal of Russian troops from our borders.

Zelensky paid special attention to the aggravation of the situation in the area of \u200b\u200bthe Joint Forces Operation. In particular, he reported on a significant number of ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups..

The President focused on the shelling of a kindergarten in Stanytsia Luhanska by illegal armed groups.

" It is important that diplomats and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission remain in their places in Ukraine. Monitoring activities are essential. This is an additional deterrent,"

According to the Head of State, today the OSCE forces and means are not enough to objectively record all ongoing violations of the ceasefire regime, including the current morning aggravation.

The President of Ukraine and the President of the European Council supported the position on the need to maintain missions in Ukraine and reaffirmed their commitment to political and diplomatic efforts to unblock the peace process and restore stability.
