Zelensky discusses Ukraine's European prospects with Merkel's successor

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with the newly elected Chairman of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU), Prime Minister of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia Armin Laschet. "

Zelensky wished the head of the Christian Democratic Union success in his political activities.

Armin Lashet expressed condolences in connection with the death of 15 people in a fire in Kharkov.

The new leader of the CDU stressed that Ukraine can rely on the continuity of German policy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his sincere gratitude for this and noted that it is very important for Ukrainians, especially in the matter of achieving peace in Donbass.
