As part of a working trip to the Luhansk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Luhansk regional boarding school with enhanced military physical training " Kremennoi.

This educational institution was created in 1993 on the basis of the Lugansk Higher Military Aviation School of Navigators. In 1996, the Lyceum was transferred to the ownership of the Luhansk regional territorial community. In August 2014, the lyceum was seized and destroyed by militants, therefore, in November of the same year, the educational institution was moved to. Kremennaya Luhansk region. Lyceum got its current name in 2019.

Today 220 pupils study here and 75 teachers and other employees work here, specifies the Office of the Head of State. Among the graduates of the Lyceum are winners and prize-winners of sports competitions at international, national and regional levels in martial arts, kickboxing, rock climbing, orienteering, football, volleyball and other sports..

The President got acquainted with the conditions of education and residence of the lyceum students, in particular, he visited the canteen, barracks and classrooms.

Vladimir Zelensky was also shown a sports complex for lyceum students, which includes, in particular, a stadium, exercise equipment, a gymnastic block and an obstacle course. In 2020, the stadium was reconstructed within the framework of the National Big Construction Program. A football field with artificial turf and a jogging track were equipped. The project cost amounted to UAH 4.3 million.

“The new stadium with high-quality coverage, I hope, will inspire our patriotic youths to engage in physical activity and achieve new sports and military victories,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
