Zelensky threatens Iran with international courts because of a downed Boeing

Ukraine will be forced to appeal to international courts if Iran does not fulfill its promises and obligations undertaken due to the Ukrainian Boeing 737 shot down over Tehran.

This was stated in an interview with the Canadian publication The Globe and Mail by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

Zelensky emphasized that he was counting on the result in this matter with Iran, and this was not only about flight recorders.

" They must formally apologize.

They must pay adequate compensation.. They must do what they promised.. Otherwise, we will have no other choice - and they know our position - except how to appeal to international courts, "

He added that Iran explained the delay in the transfer of flight recorders by the coronavirus pandemic, but "

The publication also recalls that Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau agreed to put pressure on Iran to give the “black boxes” of the downed plane.
