In the Libyan city of Tarhun, they found a stove in which the militants of Khalifa Haftar burned prisoners alive.

Letters are written about this with reference to the British newspaper The Guardian.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said he was shocked by the recent discovery of mass graves in Libya, and called for a transparent investigation.

Guterres also called on the government of Libya, supported by the UN, to secure mass graves, identify the victims, establish the causes of death and return the bodies to loved ones.

The UN said that eight mass graves were discovered in the city of Tarhun. This city served as a stronghold of the Haftar troops who wanted to capture the capital of Tripoli.

The military, who joined the UN-backed government in Tripoli, captured the city of Tarhuna last week, located about 65 km southeast of the Libyan capital.

The government had previously stated that it had regained control of all entry and exit points in Tripoli and Tripoli Airport..

Fathi Bashagha, the interior minister of the UN-backed government, said authorities documented evidence of alleged war crimes in Tarhun. According to him, according to preliminary data, dozens of victims found in the mass graves of the city were buried alive.. According to some sources, entire families were buried in some graves.

In addition, a special shipping container was found in Tarhun, full of charred bodies, allegedly prisoners..
