President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Rear Admiral Alexey Neizhpapa the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The corresponding decree No. 217/2020 was signed by the Head of State on June 11.
Alexey Neizhpapa was born in 1975 in. Sevastopol (Crimea). In 1997 he graduated from the Sevastopol Naval Institute, in 2008 - the Sevastopol Naval Institute (operational-tactical level) and the National University of Defense of Ukraine in 2015.
In 2015-2019, he was Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces for Combat Training - Head of the Combat Training Directorate of the Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces.
Since April 2020, Alexey Neizhpapa served as Deputy Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He took part in the anti-terrorist operation in the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
He served as an officer from lieutenant to captain of the first rank on the ships of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (in positions from the commander of the frigate’s battery to the commander of the surface ship’s brigade). He received military ranks twice in the posts of ship commander and brigade commander..
Repeatedly led the Ukrainian-American Sea Breeze exercises from the Ukrainian side.
