There will be [presidential] elections in 2020, there will be alternative candidates, [they] will offer the demolition of the old system and new changes - the people will decide. We will pursue [politics] calmly, purposefully implement those ideas that are. And these changes will be absolutely calm, not revolutionary. "

Thus, it follows from Lukashenko’s words that whether Belarus needs drastic changes will be decided by the people in the presidential election.
