The purpose of the document is to ensure the proper fulfillment by the people's deputies of Ukraine of the powers regarding the obligation of personal voting, the Office of the Head of State notes.

The law amends the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of People’s Deputy of Ukraine” and the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the provision of personal voting by people's deputies of Ukraine at plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada.

In particular, the law criminalizes deliberate voting by a parliamentarian at a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada instead of another people's deputy (impersonal voting). Such an act will be punished by a fine of 3 thousand.. up to 5 thousand. tax-free minimum incomes of citizens.

The law shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication..
