Israel will develop a new warship for its fleet

Private shipbuilding company Israel Shipyards Ltd. announced the signing of an agreement with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, involving the design of a promising small corvette. According to the plans, he should change the large missile boat of the Saar 4 project.

The Saar 72 project corvette, which Israel Shipyards Ltd is exporting, was chosen as the base for the new ship.. Reshef corvettes will be built at the Haifa-based Israel Shipyards: how many new ships the Israeli fleet will receive is not yet known.

According to preliminary data, the new corvette will have a standard displacement of about 800 tons. Its length will be 72 meters and a width of 10.25 meters.
