Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the release and appointment to positions in the Ministry of Emergencies, the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Dismissed 11 people, including Police Major-General Alexander Melnikov, accused of fraud, reports Dozhd.

Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies in the Kirov Region Major General of the Internal Service Mikhail Likhachev;

Major General Sergei Vlasov, Head of the Information Technologies and Communications Department of the Ministry of Emergencies;

Director and Deputy Director of the Force Preparedness and Special Fire Department of the Ministry of Emergencies Maxim Maksimenko and Vladimir Dezhkin.

Major General Alexander Melnikov, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department to ensure the protection of public order and coordination of interaction with executive authorities, was also dismissed.. He is arrested for fraud.
