Poland will not sign the UN Global Migration Agreement, said Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak on Polish radio.

"Yes. We believe that this is not a good solution, "said Blaszczak, answering the question whether it is true that the Polish government will refuse to sign the UN global agreement on migration.

“This is not the method that would allow to limit the migration crisis, it, on the contrary, will strengthen the crisis and increase its consequences,” added the Minister of Defense of Poland.

A global agreement on safe, orderly and regular migration should be formally approved at an international conference in Marrakesh (Morocco) in December of this year..

The United States withdrew from the negotiations on the agreement in 2017, while President Donald Trump said that it is absolutely incompatible with the country's migration policy.

Austria withdraws from the agreement at the end of October. A number of other countries made similar statements, in particular, Czech President Milos Zeman also rejected the agreement.. The ruling coalition council of Bulgaria also decided that the country should not join the global agreement. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto also announced this summer that this document runs counter to the republic’s security interests..
