The North Atlantic Alliance is not going to deploy new nuclear missiles in Europe, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, Espresso reports.

He recalled that after years of objections, Russia recognized the presence of its new missile system.

"The United States fully fulfills its obligations under the treaty on the elimination of medium and short range missiles. Therefore, Europe has no new US missiles.. "- said Stoltenberg.

According to him, the new Russian rocket system is a threat to the stability of the Euro-Atlantic region..

"NATO does not intend to deploy new nuclear missiles in Europe. But as an Alliance, we take responsibility for security.. We must not allow impunity to violate arms control treaties ", the Secretary General said.
