Leaders of EU countries protest the holding of these elections and call them a violation of the Minsk agreements. But in fact, there are only three days left before the elections, no one is going to cancel them.. And even if it is assumed that the EU will indeed strengthen the sanctions against the Kremlin after these elections (which is unlikely to preserve the old sanctions), this will not affect the fate of the Minsk agreements. No one will say that holding fake elections is not just a direct violation of these agreements, but a rejection. That elections in the occupied territories can be held only under the laws of Ukraine. And if Moscow decided to hold its "elections" there, then she refused Minsk.. And that after these “elections”, it is earnest to demand that Ukraine fulfill its part of the Minsk Agreements - a mockery not even at Ukraine, but at common sense.

But they will demand. They will demand that the Ukrainian parliament once again extend the law on the “special status” of the occupied Donbass. They will stubbornly fail to notice that the territories seized by Russia are already living another "state" life, that they have finally become part of the Kremlin project to destabilize Ukraine.

Not so long ago it was clear to everyone - that holding fake “elections” in the occupied territories is a way out of Minsk. It was clear even in the Kremlin - Russia repeatedly refused these elections until Moscow decided to take out Carpenter, liquidate Zakharchenko and arrange a dance with tambourines.. And it turned out! With the connivance of the West, Russia crossed another “red line” that allows Putin to freeze the conflict and retain control over the Donbas..

And the elections will be, and Minsk will continue!.

And this contradiction should convince those who still doubt: we are in for a long conflict with Russia, a long-term occupation of Donbass. The bill went not for years - for decades.

If Ukrainians do not learn to live with this conflict, if they do not understand that it creates more advantages for the country than problems - you can say goodbye to the dream of your own sovereign state today.
