Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States of America Valeriy Chaly faced a massive attack by prankers calling politicians on his behalf.

He told about it at a meeting with the Ukrainian journalists in Washington, reports "European truth".

According to him, the attack began in recent days. “Just yesterday, allegedly on my behalf and allegedly on behalf of the President of Ukraine, an appeal was made to almost all governors - a request for a telephone conversation,” he said.

According to the ambassador, some of the governors agreed to negotiate with the man who pretended to be ambassador. Part of the negotiations took place before the embassy learned about this issue.. This person says there are two reasons for speaking.. One is economic cooperation and tourism, and the second topic is on the Holodomor. And after the introduction and general phrases about economics, it appeals (to the governor), they say, remember, I asked you (to recognize the Holodomor as genocide at the state level)? So, this is not relevant, let's move it ", - he said.

"Obviously, the real theme is the Holodomor," the ambassador added.

According to him, the embassy informed all the governors about the danger of fake calls, after which the attack was switched to mayors and congressmen.

According to the ambassador, the initiators of these fake talks are "well-known Russian pranker", who have already committed a number of provocations against Ukraine in the United States, including by playing Energy Minister Rick Perry.

As is known, this rally was carried out in 2017 by prankers from the Russian Federation, known as Vovan and Lexus.
