The expulsion of the Hungarian consul from Ukraine was an adequate response to the scandal with the distribution of Hungarian passports to Beregovo, said Georgy Tuka, Deputy Head of the Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine,.

In an interview with the “Observer,” the official noted that on the spot, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin would have sent the consul the very next day, instead of pulling for two weeks, trying to change the hostile position of Budapest.

"It was absolutely clear what this position is, no discussions and not close, especially the leadership of Hungary is exclusively pro-Russian. It was a special operation.. How do you need to respond to this situation? "- said Tuk.

According to the deputy minister, the events in Beregovo are only a demonstration of a part of the problem..

“By and large, if someone had not uploaded this video to the network, but simply handed it over to the special services, there would have been no reaction,” he admitted..

"Only the wide publicity of this video led to the fact that we had to react to the ugliness that we have been silently watching on our land for 15 years, and maybe even more. I think this is unacceptable, Ukraine must act more decisively and no one is allowed to violate the laws on our land ", - said Tuk.
